Notification of a name change for our BMO ILP sub-funds

We have been notified by BMO Global Asset Management (the “Company”) of a branding change to the underlying funds of the Friends Provident International Limited investment-linked product (“ILP”) sub-funds listed below which will take effect from 4 July 2022 (the “Effective Date”).

1)  R195 BMO Responsible Global Equity (USD)

2)  R214 BMO Responsible Global Equity (GBP)

3)  R220 BMO Global Convertible Bond

 (together the "Affected ILP sub-funds")

The Company has advised that it will be rebranding BMO to Columbia Threadneedle Investments following the acquisition by Columbia Threadneedle’s parent, Ameriprise Financial, last year.

Aligned with this rebrand, the BMO fund ranges will be renamed with the prefix ‘CT’ from the Effective Date. 

The Affected ILP sub-funds will also change name, in line with the underlying funds, on the Effective Date as shown below.

The Company has advised that there are no plans to change the way the underlying funds of our mirror funds are managed at this point.

We have written to impacted policyholders and their advisers to notify them of the of the name changes. A sample of the policyholder letter can be found opposite, along with the BMO rebrand notification.
